Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, neuro-interface devices, and climate engineering solutions
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' prototyping sessions with engineers, designers, and ethicists
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite executives and venture capital partners
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budget for emerging technology exploration
- Curate quarterly 'Horizon 2026' symposiums featuring global futurists
- Oversee patent portfolios for breakthrough technologies in AI augmentation
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent practical experience (10+ years)
- Published research on exponential technology convergence (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Proven track record of scaling innovations from concept to commercialization
- Expertise in ethical frameworks for emerging technologies
- Deep familiarity with ISO 26000 ESG standards for future-proofing
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., causal layered analysis)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ future-focused product launches
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
