- Lead ideation sprints with C-suite executives to identify disruptive opportunities
- Oversee R&D projects from concept to commercial viability with $2M+ budgets
- Partner with venture capital firms to incubate spin-off technologies
- Present strategic frameworks at global tech summits (CES, Web Summit)
- Mentor a 12-person innovation lab team of PhD researchers
- Drive patent portfolios targeting 15+ new IP filings annually
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation or R&D leadership (Fortune 500/SaaS preferred)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Future Studies
- Proven track record launching 5+ tech products with $10M+ ARR
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Published thought leadership in IEEE or Harvard Business Review
- Fluency in scenario planning methodologies (STEEP, Delphi)
- Global network connections in tech innovation ecosystems
- Strong Python/ML background for prototyping validation
