Responsibilities
- Architect scalable quantum computing systems targeting 1000+ qubit operations by 2026
- Design quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computation
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for industrial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Secure $10M+ in research grants for quantum innovation initiatives
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Drive commercialization of quantum technologies in partnership with Fortune 500 clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years designing quantum computing systems or superconducting circuits
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
