Job Description
Join Nexus Quantum Labs at the forefront of computational revolution. We're seeking a visionary 2026 Quantum Computing Architect to design next-generation quantum systems that will redefine industries. This role bridges theoretical physics and scalable engineering to build fault-tolerant quantum processors capable of solving previously impossible problems. You'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and industry pioneers to implement quantum error correction, optimize qubit coherence, and pioneer hybrid quantum-classical workflows.
Our lab offers cutting-edge facilities, flexible work arrangements, and competitive equity packages. Be part of the team that's building the quantum infrastructure for 2030 and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum processor architectures with 1000+ logical qubits
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Optimize qubit coherence times and gate fidelities at cryogenic temperatures
- Create hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for practical industry applications
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum materials and control systems
- Mentor junior researchers and publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years developing quantum systems with demonstrated qubit scaling
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance protocols
- Experience with quantum control systems (e.g., cryogenic electronics, microwave engineering)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, or Cirq)
