Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for 2026-era applications in cryptography and AI optimization
- Architect scalable quantum processor architectures using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Manage cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Secure $10M+ in quantum computing grants and partnerships with national labs
- Pioneer error correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Develop patent portfolios for quantum supremacy breakthroughs
- Present findings at Nature/Science journals and IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years hands-on quantum computing research with published papers in top-tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction, qubit design, and quantum algorithms
- Proven track record of securing government/military research grants
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Strong publication record in quantum information science
