What you'll achieve: Lead a cross-disciplinary team to develop fault-tolerant quantum processors, publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals, and commercialize quantum applications in cryptography, drug discovery, and optimization.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms with 100+ qubit stability
- Lead error correction protocols achieving 99.99% fidelity
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical workflows for enterprise clients
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish 3+ papers annually
- Collaborate with Intel, IBM, and Microsoft on quantum standards
- Drive commercialization of quantum solutions in finance and logistics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Published work in Nature/Science on quantum systems
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and low-level C++ optimization
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware (D-Wave, IBM Q)
- Strong track record of securing government research funding
