Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms targeting 2026-era hardware capabilities
- Develop novel error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI and cryptography teams
- Publish findings in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure patents for quantum communication protocols
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages
- Collaborate with US Department of Energy on quantum security initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience with superconducting qubit platforms (IBM Rigetti)
- Deep understanding of Shor's/Grover's algorithm limitations
- Security clearance eligibility for government projects
