- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies through market research and competitive analysis
- Secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders for innovation acceleration
- Present innovation frameworks to executive stakeholders and secure approval for resource allocation
- Drive commercialization strategy for emerging technologies through MVP development and pilot programs
- Monitor global tech trends and regulatory landscapes impacting 2026 innovation horizons
Qualifications
- 15+ years experience in technology innovation strategy with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record of launching successful commercialized tech products or services
- Expertise in emerging technologies: AI/ML, quantum computing, blockchain, or sustainable tech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Exceptional strategic planning and scenario modeling capabilities for 5-10 year horizons
- Strong network within Silicon Valley, Austin tech ecosystem, and global innovation hubs
- Experience securing $5M+ budgets for innovation initiatives and R&D programs
- Certification in innovation management (e.g., PDMA, CMI) or equivalent practical experience
