Responsibilities
- Lead strategic roadmap development for 2026 technology horizons including quantum-resistant cryptography and ambient computing
- Conduct horizon scanning and scenario planning for emerging tech disruptions
- Architect proof-of-concept prototypes for next-gen human-machine interfaces
- Partner with C-suite executives to align innovation initiatives with business objectives
- Present future-state visions to stakeholders and industry thought leaders
- Drive cross-functional R&D initiatives in sustainable AI and bio-integrated systems
- Mentor junior futurists and foster a culture of speculative innovation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or emerging tech R&D
- Proven track record of commercializing futuristic concepts (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neuromorphic engineering, or climate-positive AI
- Published thought leadership in tech futurism or peer-reviewed research
- Experience with scenario planning tools and technology forecasting methodologies
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Future Studies
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ commercially deployed futuristic solutions
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts
