Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, synthetic biology) and their commercial viability by 2026
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and design teams
- Present strategic insights to C-suite executives and board members quarterly
- Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions and R&D pioneers
- Author white papers on future technology trends and their societal implications
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate an innovation-first culture
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent experience in emerging technologies, futurism, or strategic innovation
- 10+ years in technology strategy with proven portfolio of disruptive innovations
- Expertise in forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning, horizon scanning)
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their convergence patterns
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in technology or futurism (IEEE, MIT Tech Review)
- Track record of launching products/services with 2026+ market impact
