Responsibilities
- Architect scalable technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market predictions and industry convergence points
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' to prototype and validate emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuro-interfaces, AI ethics frameworks)
- Develop competitive intelligence frameworks tracking global tech advancements and regulatory landscapes
- Present strategic technology forecasts to executive leadership and board stakeholders with data-driven impact assessments
- Establish innovation partnerships with academic institutions and research labs specializing in future-tech domains
- Mentor a team of specialized futurists and technology scouts
- Author quarterly '2026 Tech Briefs' for industry publication and thought leadership platforms
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership with proven impact on product roadmaps
- Expertise in at least three emerging technology domains (quantum, AI governance, biotech, AR/VR, blockchain)
- Demonstrated experience translating complex technical concepts into executive-level business strategies
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies preferred
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed tech journals or major industry publications
- Proficiency in strategic forecasting methodologies (Delphi, horizon scanning, scenario planning)
- Strong network within global tech innovation communities and research institutions
- Ability to obtain Tier 3 security clearance for sensitive future-tech projects
