- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market projections and societal trends
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen AI/quantum/sustainable tech solutions
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Present strategic briefings to executive leadership and board of directors quarterly
- Forge partnerships with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich) and emerging startups
- Establish ethical frameworks for emerging technologies ensuring regulatory compliance
- Drive innovation culture through hackathons and technology scouting programs
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership within Fortune 500 or high-growth startups
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Expertise in futures methodologies (scenario planning, Delphi technique, technology roadmapping)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Strategic Innovation (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in tech journals (Nature, MIT Tech Review, etc.)
- Strong network within global tech innovation ecosystems
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Experience with climate tech or ethical AI frameworks
