Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, neurotech, spatial computing) to identify commercial opportunities through 2026
- Develop 5-year technology adoption roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Lead proof-of-concept projects for breakthrough technologies with $1M+ annual R&D budget
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board of directors quarterly
- Build and manage an internal innovation incubator for futuristic prototypes
- Represent company at Davos, CES, and specialized tech conferences
- Mentor junior researchers in future technology methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 companies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech integration, or metaverse architecture
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Proficiency in scenario planning and technology forecasting frameworks
- Experience managing cross-functional teams of 15+ engineers and scientists
- Clearable federal security clearance preferred
