Job Description
We are not merely predicting the future; we are architecting it. Year 2026 Systems is a pioneering think-tank and engineering firm dedicated to defining the technological landscape of the coming decade. We are looking for a visionary Director of Next-Gen Technology to lead our core infrastructure and AI initiatives.
In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between theoretical concepts of 2026 and today's actionable engineering. You will lead a team of elite engineers tasked with developing scalable, resilient systems that can withstand the demands of an increasingly connected world. If you are obsessed with scalability, security, and the next wave of human-machine interaction, this is your opportunity to leave a permanent mark on the future.

- Team Mentorship: Cultivate a culture of innovation and excellence, mentoring senior engineers and fostering professional growth within the organization.
- Future-Proofing: Identify emerging technologies and trends (e.g., Quantum Computing, Neural Interfaces) and integrate viable solutions into current development cycles.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and external stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Crisis Management: Lead technical rescue operations and ensure system resilience during high-traffic events or security breaches.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (PhD preferred).
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in software engineering or systems architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership or directorial capacity.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.
- Programming: Proficiency in high-level languages such as Python, Go, or Rust.
- Problem Solving: Proven track record of solving complex scalability and performance issues in mission-critical environments.
- Vision: Strong ability to translate abstract futuristic concepts into concrete technical requirements.
