Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and societal needs post-2025
- Lead cross-functional initiatives in quantum-resistant cryptography and AGI safety frameworks
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with transformative potential
- Partner with C-suite executives to integrate future tech into enterprise strategy
- Author thought leadership publications on technology ethics and governance
- Manage $2M+ innovation budgets for prototyping next-gen solutions
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech domains
- Proven track record launching products with 10+ year vision cycles
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neurotech, climate tech, or AI alignment
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Experience with scenario planning and technology impact assessment
- Strong network within DARPA, IARPA, or equivalent innovation ecosystems
- Fluency in strategic foresight frameworks (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis)
