Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech integration, etc.)
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive technologies with 2026+ market potential
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams through prototyping and validation phases
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to align tech innovation with business objectives
- Present strategic recommendations to investors and board members
- Manage technology portfolio risk and compliance frameworks
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and industry pioneers
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred
- 8+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains (AI/ML, quantum, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in scenario planning and futures forecasting
- Exceptional communication abilities for technical and non-technical audiences
- Published thought leadership in technology innovation or foresight
