Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 3-5 year technology roadmaps for emerging domains (quantum AI, neural interfaces, decentralized systems)
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive analysis in nascent tech ecosystems
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Present strategic insights to C-suite and external stakeholders through compelling narratives
- Establish governance frameworks for ethical deployment of transformative technologies
- Lead scenario planning workshops for 2026 market disruptions
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- 8+ years in technology strategy, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AR/VR)
- Proven track record translating technical concepts into business value
- Experience with futures research tools (Delphi method, trend analysis)
- Strong background in ethical tech frameworks and responsible innovation
- Exceptional communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Published thought leadership in technology foresight (preferred)
