Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy for 2026-2030, focusing on quantum computing, AI ethics, and sustainable tech
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate emerging technologies
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive trends and competitive threats
- Present strategic roadmaps to executive leadership and investor stakeholders
- Build and manage partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and R&D labs
- Drive adoption of agile innovation methodologies across 15+ engineering teams
- Secure and allocate $5M+ annual R&D budget for strategic technology initiatives
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation management
- Proven track record of launching at least two market-defining tech products
- Expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, generative AI, or biotech
- Executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and boards
- MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation (patents, whitepapers, or keynotes)
- Experience managing multi-million dollar R&D budgets and P&L
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management preferred
