Responsibilities
- Architect 5-10 year technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 clients in AI, quantum computing, and sustainable tech
- Lead cross-functional teams of researchers and engineers to prototype breakthrough solutions
- Conduct horizon scanning of emerging technologies and geopolitical trends
- Develop patentable frameworks for autonomous systems and human-machine interfaces
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and investment committees
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants through federal and private partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates in our Future Technologies Fellowship program
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record developing commercialized AI/quantum systems (3+ launches)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology, or fusion energy
- Published research in Nature/Science with >500 citations
- Security clearance (Top Secret) or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages (Qiskit)
- Experience securing federal SBIR/STTR grants ($1M+ awarded)
