Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap, identifying high-impact emerging domains (quantum computing, biotech convergence, AI ethics)
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis across 15+ emerging technology sectors to prioritize R&D investments
- Lead cross-functional workshops with engineering, product, and leadership teams to align on future-state capabilities
- Translate foresight into actionable product roadmaps with clear KPIs and risk mitigation frameworks
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry consortia
- Present visionary insights to C-suite executives and board members with data-backed scenarios
- Monitor ethical implications and societal impact of emerging technologies, ensuring responsible innovation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or emerging technologies with proven 5+ year horizon planning
- Expertise in at least three emerging technology domains (e.g., quantum, synthetic biology, decentralized AI)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or related field; PhD preferred
- Demonstrated success in translating foresight into commercialized products or market disruptions
- Exceptional analytical skills with experience in scenario planning, technology adoption curves, and disruption modeling
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystem and global research communities
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications on future technologies
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, horizon scanning, systems thinking)
