Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives on emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, synthetic biology)
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions and innovation hubs
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite executives and board members
- Conduct competitive analysis of emerging tech patents and startup ecosystems
- Design innovation frameworks for ethical AI adoption and digital sovereignty
- Manage $5M+ R&D budget allocation for future technology incubation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 or VC-backed startups
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, climate tech, or neurotechnology
- Published thought leadership in tech journals (e.g., Nature, IEEE Spectrum)
- Experience with regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies (FDA, FCC, etc.)
- Exceptional data modeling skills for technology adoption forecasting
- Fluency in Mandarin or German for global stakeholder engagement
