Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, AI, synthetic biology, advanced materials) with 5+ year impact potential
- Develop technology roadmaps aligning with business objectives and market trends
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape research in frontier tech domains
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to integrate strategic tech initiatives into company vision
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to stakeholders and investors
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Monitor ethical implications and regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years experience in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation management
- Proven track record of forecasting and commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two frontier tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information
- Experience with scenario planning and technology impact assessment
- Strong communication skills for translating technical concepts to business audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating successful technology commercialization or innovation projects
