Responsibilities
- Develop 2026+ technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and company vision
- Lead R&D initiatives for emerging tech including quantum computing applications
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype and validate disruptive solutions
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape assessments
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage innovation budgets and vendor partnerships
- Author thought leadership on future tech adoption patterns
Qualifications
- 8+ years in tech strategy, R&D, or product innovation leadership
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Proven track record of launching commercialized innovations
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision making
- Experience securing and managing R&D budgets >$5M
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies
- Exceptional communication skills for technical/non-technical audiences
