Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 5-year technology innovation roadmap aligned with emerging market trends
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify breakthrough technologies with transformative potential
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating futuristic concepts
- Establish strategic partnerships with research institutions and tech pioneers
- Translate complex technological opportunities into compelling business cases
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) across organization
- Present strategic visions to executive stakeholders and investors
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least three of: AI/ML, quantum computing, blockchain, or synthetic biology
- Exceptional strategic thinking with ability to forecast tech adoption curves
- Experience building innovation ecosystems and managing R&D budgets >$50M
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism or innovation management
