Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 2026 technology strategy roadmap aligning with business objectives and emerging trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech convergence)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate next-gen solutions
- Analyze global tech ecosystems to identify partnership opportunities and competitive threats
- Present strategic recommendations to the executive board with data-driven risk/benefit frameworks
- Manage a $5M innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation for emerging tech initiatives
- Mentor a team of 5+ futurists and technical architects
- Establish KPIs for technology adoption and impact measurement
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning, innovation management, or futures research
- Proven track record in scaling disruptive technologies (AI/ML, blockchain, AR/VR)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or MBA with tech specialization
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and technology forecasting methodologies
- Executive-level presentation skills with ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation (patents, white papers, TED talks)
- Experience managing R&D budgets exceeding $3M with measurable outcomes
