- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-7 year commercialization potential
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-proof technologies into current development pipelines
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board members with data-driven impact assessments
- Establish innovation KPIs and track technology adoption curves across key industries
- Mentor emerging technologists in futures thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation management
- Proven track record in emerging technology commercialization (quantum, AI, or biotech preferred)
- Expertise in futures research methodologies and trend analysis frameworks
- Deep understanding of ethical implications and governance for emerging technologies
- Strong quantitative skills with ability to model complex technology adoption scenarios
- Exceptional communication skills for translating technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies preferred
