Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis across technology, economics, and social domains to forecast 2026+ developments
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for organizational resilience in volatile futures
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype solutions for emerging market needs
- Author whitepapers and thought leadership content on future-facing technologies
- Advise executive leadership on strategic pivots and emerging opportunities
- Build and maintain an external network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers
- Integrate foresight into product development lifecycle and business strategy
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or related field
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futures research
- Proven track record of translating foresight into actionable business strategies
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling and visualization skills for complex future scenarios
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., from APF or Foresight Practitioner)
- Portfolio published trend analyses or scenario-planning projects
- Experience with futures research tools (horizon scanning, Delphi methods, causal layered analysis)
