Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and assess their business impact through horizon scanning and scenario modeling
- Develop 3-5 year innovation roadmaps aligned with organizational vision and market disruption vectors
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future insights into actionable R&D priorities
- Present strategic foresight findings to executive stakeholders and external investors
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers
- Author thought leadership publications on future-focused business strategies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized solutions
- Expertise in horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional communication skills for executive audiences and external stakeholders
- Certification in futures research or strategic foresight (e.g., CFTR) strongly preferred
