Job Description
Join the Vanguard of the Future
Nexus Horizon Technologies is pioneering the next generation of autonomous systems. We are seeking a visionary Lead Architect to spearhead the 2026 Initiative, a high-stakes project aimed at integrating quantum computing capabilities with advanced generative AI models. This is not just a job; it is an opportunity to define the infrastructure of tomorrow.
You will work in a state-of-the-art facility in the heart of San Francisco, collaborating with a world-class team of quantum physicists, machine learning engineers, and futurists. If you are ready to push the boundaries of what is possible in 2026, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Architect Core Infrastructure: Design and deploy scalable, fault-tolerant systems capable of handling petabyte-scale data for the 2026 Initiative.
- Lead R&D Strategy: Direct the research and development roadmap, ensuring alignment with emerging quantum computing standards and AI regulatory frameworks.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Mentor a team of senior engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- System Integration: Bridge the gap between theoretical quantum algorithms and practical, deployable software solutions.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously refine system latency and throughput to meet the rigorous demands of real-time generative AI processing.
Qualifications
- Education: PhD or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on Quantum Computing or Artificial Intelligence.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in software architecture, with at least 4 years specifically in leading complex, high-impact engineering projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in Python, C++, and Rust; proven experience with quantum simulation frameworks (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq) and large language model (LLM) architectures.
- Innovation: Demonstrated history of patentable innovations or published research in the fields of AI, ML, or Quantum Information Science.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
