Responsibilities
- Handle guest check-ins/checkouts efficiently using Opera property management system
- Manage reservations, room assignments, and VIP requests
- Resolve guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Process payments, manage billing discrepancies, and maintain accurate records
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B departments
- Upsell hotel amenities and services to enhance guest experience
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience in luxury/hotel environment
- Proficiency with property management systems (Opera, Fidelio)
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic knowledge of Chicago tourism attractions and transportation
- Valid Illinois Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency highly valued
