Job Description
Join the vanguard of technological evolution. Horizon Future Systems is leading Project 2026, a groundbreaking initiative to deploy the first commercially viable quantum-adjacent neural networks. We are seeking a visionary AI & Quantum Systems Architect to build the infrastructure that will define the next decade of computing.
In this high-impact role, you won't just be maintaining systems; you will be architecting the foundation for artificial general intelligence. You will bridge the gap between classical cloud infrastructure and the emerging paradigms of quantum computing.
Why Horizon Future Systems?
- Work on cutting-edge technology that shapes the future.
- Competitive compensation and equity packages.
- Remote-first culture with global collaboration.
Are you ready to build the systems of tomorrow? Apply today.
Responsibilities
- Design & Scale: Architect highly scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems capable of handling petabyte-scale neural network training.
- Quantum Integration: Develop the middleware required to interface classical AI models with quantum processing units (QPUs).
- Performance Optimization: Continuously refine data pipelines and model inference engines to maximize throughput and minimize latency.
- Infrastructure Strategy: Lead the migration strategy to cloud-native environments, ensuring security and compliance at the enterprise level.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with data scientists and hardware engineers to define technical roadmaps for Project 2026.
- Cost Management: Implement strategies to optimize cloud resource utilization and reduce operational expenditure.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Physics, or a related field (PhD preferred).
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in backend engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or architect role.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python, Go, or Rust; deep understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
- Cloud Expertise: Strong background in AWS, Azure, or GCP, specifically within machine learning services.
- Quantum Knowledge: Familiarity with quantum computing concepts (Qiskit, Cirq) and hybrid classical-quantum algorithms.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
