Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for optimization and pattern recognition
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical AI frameworks
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent novel quantum-AI methodologies
- Translate theoretical models into scalable software solutions using Python and C++
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our open-source quantum toolkit
- Secure research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private foundations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published work in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (QAOA, VQE, Shor's algorithm implementations)
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Experience with quantum hardware providers (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Proven ability to secure research funding and manage academic-industry partnerships
