Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum neural network architectures for 2026-era applications
- Lead research in quantum error mitigation techniques for fault-tolerant computing
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research funding
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead cross-functional quantum-AI task forces
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Expertise in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and high-performance computing
- Track record of securing competitive research grants
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
