What You'll Accomplish: Lead the conceptualization and development of fault-tolerant quantum architectures; collaborate with government agencies and Fortune 500 partners on national quantum initiatives; publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals; and mentor the next generation of quantum engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures for commercial and government applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum algorithm optimization and error correction
- Develop quantum security protocols for next-gen communication networks
- Partner with NASA and DoD on quantum-resistant cryptography systems
- Drive innovation in quantum machine learning frameworks
- Present findings at international quantum technology symposiums
- Secure $50M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 8+ years experience)
- 5+ years in quantum circuit design or quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published research in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum development frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
- Security clearance eligibility or willingness to obtain (Top Secret/SCI)
- Fluency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
