Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum processor architectures using superconducting and photonic qubits
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computation systems
- Lead integration of quantum accelerators with classical high-performance computing platforms
- Collaborate with research teams to optimize quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Document technical specifications and publish findings in leading quantum computing journals
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum hardware design principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in quantum computing hardware or algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerance techniques
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in cryogenic systems and microwave engineering
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience leading cross-functional technical projects
