Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum processor architectures with 100+ qubit stability
- Develop novel quantum error-correction codes for fault-tolerant computation
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum algorithm optimization
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on quantum control systems integration
- Research and publish breakthroughs in quantum supremacy applications
- Secure $1M+ in quantum computing grants annually
- Mentor junior quantum engineers in emerging technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in quantum computing or high-performance computing
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and assembly languages
- Published research in top-tier quantum journals (Nature Physics, PRX Quantum)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum simulation frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave engineering
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum annealing
- Track record of securing quantum research funding
