Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with commercial partners to deploy quantum solutions in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Secure research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private investors
- Present findings at premier conferences (QIP, APS March Meeting) and peer-reviewed journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum algorithm design or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Strong track record of securing research funding ($500k+)
- Expertise in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and computational complexity
