Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography optimization and material science simulations
- Manage qubit stabilization research and error-correction protocols
- Coordinate with hardware teams to design next-generation quantum processors
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for industrial applications
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DoD partnerships
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish 3+ high-impact papers annually
- Develop ethical frameworks for quantum computing deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and quantum frameworks
- Experience leading cross-functional R&D teams
- Knowledge of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ions)
