Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures for enterprise applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in developing error-corrected qubit systems
- Drive quantum algorithm optimization for machine learning and cryptography
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants through NSF and industry partnerships
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier quantum journals
- Mentor PhD-level researchers in quantum information science
- Collaborate with hardware teams on quantum-cooled processor integration
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years in quantum algorithm development or qubit engineering
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization tools
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE preferred)
- Strong background in superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
