Responsibilities
- Design quantum algorithms optimized for error-corrected qubits
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Simulate quantum systems using Qiskit and Cirq frameworks
- Validate quantum solutions against classical benchmarks
- Secure $2M+ in government and industry research grants
- Mentor PhD interns from UT Austin quantum engineering program
- Author white papers on quantum advantage in computational chemistry
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years experience with superconducting qubit manipulation
- Published research in Nature Physics or Physical Review X
- Proficiency in quantum assembly languages (QASM, Quil)
- Expertise in quantum error correction protocols (surface codes, LDPC)
- Strong background in linear algebra and Hilbert spaces
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems (4K temperatures)
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts to hardware
