Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and cryptography applications
- Develop error correction protocols to improve qubit stability and computational fidelity
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into practical quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum software solutions for industry partners
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at international conferences
- Secure research funding through NSF, DoE, and private sector grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals or conferences
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum information theory
- Proven track record of developing error mitigation techniques for NISQ-era systems
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders
