Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experiments on 100+ qubit superconducting systems to achieve quantum advantage
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE)
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with superconducting qubits
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and Q# programming
- Published work in quantum error correction or quantum simulation
- Proficiency with Python, C++, and quantum frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with cryogenic systems and RF pulse engineering
