Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum error correction methodologies
- Conduct independent research in quantum information theory and publish findings
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance on real devices
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for enterprise applications
- Mentor junior researchers and present findings at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in linear algebra, complex analysis, and quantum mechanics
- Proficiency with high-performance computing environments and parallel programming
- Strong track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
