Job Description
Join FutureTech Innovations at the forefront of technological revolution as we pioneer quantum computing solutions for 2026 and beyond. Our multidisciplinary team is developing next-gen quantum algorithms to solve previously impossible challenges in cryptography, materials science, and AI optimization. We seek a visionary Quantum Computing Research Scientist to lead breakthrough research in a state-of-the-art lab environment. You'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and industry pioneers to transform theoretical quantum mechanics into practical applications that will define the next decade of human progress.
What you'll experience: Unlimited compute resources on our 204-qubit quantum processors, dedicated R&D budget for experimental projects, and quarterly innovation sabbaticals to explore emerging quantum paradigms. Our San Francisco headquarters features a quantum-secure lab, holographic collaboration suites, and a rooftop observatory for stargazing-inspired quantum theory sessions.
Responsibilities

- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using proprietary quantum annealing systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics
- Author peer-reviewed publications in Nature/Science journals with 90% acceptance target
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Secure $1M+ in annual R&D grants through NSF and DARPA proposal development
- Architect quantum-secure blockchain protocols for next-gen financial systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years postdoctoral research
- Published author in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 3 citations per paper)
- Proficiency in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction techniques
- Experience with cloud-based quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts into commercial applications
- Security clearance eligibility for government-funded quantum projects
- Portfolio of implemented quantum algorithms with measurable performance gains
- Expertise in at least one quantum programming framework (Q#, Qiskit, or PennyLane)
