Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into practical quantum circuits
- Develop and maintain quantum simulation frameworks for testing complex algorithms
- Publish high-impact research in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our growing quantum computing curriculum
- Secure research funding through government grants and industry partnerships
- Stay at the forefront of quantum advancements through continuous learning and collaboration
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Quantum Information Science (or equivalent research experience)
- Proven expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Strong background in quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and computational complexity theory
- Publication record in peer-reviewed quantum computing research journals
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ) or simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
