Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing frameworks
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through innovative project proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy across the organization
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years quantum research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithms, quantum information theory, or quantum error correction
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped-ion, photonic)
- Track record of securing government or corporate research grants
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
