Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Develop error correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure federal grants (NSF, DOE) and corporate partnerships for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory and experimental physics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum algorithm design or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and noise mitigation strategies
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures or trapped-ion systems
- Strong track record of securing DARPA or NSF quantum research grants
- Expertise in tensor network simulations and quantum circuit optimization
- Certification in IBM Quantum or Google Quantum AI programs
