Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Design and execute quantum circuit simulations on IBM/Google quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into scalable quantum solutions
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate quantum decoherence and error correction challenges
- Secure $5M+ in DoE/NIST quantum research grants annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (arXiv:quant-ph)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Demonstrated success securing federal quantum research grants
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Patent portfolio in quantum algorithms or hardware design preferred
