Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop quantum error correction techniques to enhance qubit stability and coherence times
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols using our proprietary quantum hardware
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate quantum research into commercial solutions
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present findings at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#) and algorithm design
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mechanisms and error correction codes
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (superconducting, trapped ions, or photonic)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Ability to secure research funding through NSF/DOE grants or industry partnerships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
