Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error-correction techniques to enhance qubit coherence beyond 99.9%
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into classical computing frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum processors with 1000+ qubits
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum methodologies and architectures
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and experimental physics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction, superconducting qubits, or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and high-performance computing
- Demonstrated ability to secure $1M+ in research grants or venture funding
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control engineering
